We are delighted to be working with a forward thinking, innovative law firm who are looking for a talented Communications Manager to join their existing Marketing & BD team to shape and deliver their communications strategy to support their continued success.

This Communications Manager role will see the successful candidate work closely with the leadership team to drive communication plans and will be instrumental in the coaching and development of the junior members of the Marketing & BD team.


The Communications Manager role will have a broad and varied remit which will include:


  • Providing strategic communications advice to the firm's leadership team, devising engaging communication and engagement plans. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and customise content for target audiences.
  • Lead in the evaluation of existing channels and processes, contributing to the development of internal communication tools, templates, and platforms to enhance the firm's capabilities.
  • Managing and implementing internal communication initiatives and campaigns - providing strategic guidance, editorial support and advice on key message development. Assisting in coaching spokespeople for effective message delivery.
  • Providing advice on the most suitable channels and best practices for delivering communications.
  • Ensuring all communication aligns with the firm's culture, vision and strategy.
  • Creating persuasive content and talking points. Working with key internal stakeholders to plan and develop engaging presentations for internal meetings.
  • Supporting internal and external marketing campaigns and directory and award submissions.
  • Developing and distributing external communications, with a focus on legal, trade, and business press outlets.


The successful candidate for this Communications Manager role will have at least 6 years of communications experience, gained in a professional services or corporate environment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are a pre-requisite, coupled with the ability to build strong working relationships. Good experience of integrated communications and a strong knowledge of the marketing mix is essential, along with the ability to proactively work to bring new ideas and initiatives to the table.
