Our client is seeking a talented Communications Manager to join their team in London, focusing on the Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure (ENRI) sector and U.K. regional leadership. This role is pivotal in shaping and advancing their external communications strategy, enhancing their U.K. and global presence through impactful campaigns and meticulous brand management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key U.K. media contacts and influencers.
  • Craft high-quality press releases, media statements, and other external communication materials.
  • Lead and oversee external communications campaigns from conception through execution and evaluation.
  • Maintain and enhance their brand image across all external platforms.
  • Collaborate with practice area leaders and other senior stakeholders to align external communications efforts with their strategic priorities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in external communications, with a strong background in media relations and public relations within professional services, preferably in a legal or similarly complex sector.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling content and manage high-stakes media interactions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with media, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and demonstrate the impact of communications efforts.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, and creative with the determination to achieve results.
  • Ability to quickly establish good working relationships and promote best practices.
  • Polite and confident in manner, with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in an organisational setting.
