Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the growth strategy for a leading international private equity practice at a Magic Circle law firm? We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead business development initiatives and increase market share in key financial centers globally. With an ambitious growth strategy in place, Private Equity is a core pillar of this institution and this role is a key advisory element within their growth story. As Client & Market Development Senior Manager - Private Equity, you will collaborate closely with senior partners and the wider Client and Market Development team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Implementation:

  • Support and execute the PE strategy, aligning it with the firm's overall strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with PE partners, the Chief Client Officer, relevant partners, associates, and CMD/BCM professionals to implement PE action plans.
  • Ensure cross-practice, cross-sector, and cross-functional alignment to achieve proper coverage and effective strategy execution.
  • Regularly report on progress against the plan and refine the approach accordingly.

Client and Market Development:

  • Act as the go-to expert on the Firm's expertise in Private Equity, utilising comprehensive knowledge of internal databases and quarterly performance metrics.
  • Coordinate high-profile market-facing initiatives sponsored by the firm.
  • Lead on the delivery of core transactional business development and marketing activities – managing a well regarded team
  • Track the effectiveness of business development initiatives and fine-tune strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in business development, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment with a focus on private equity.
  • Strong understanding of the private equity market, key players, and regulatory landscape.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical proficiency and familiarity with relevant tools.
