Totum are working in partnership with DAC Beachcroft to recruit a new Chief Operating Officer (COO).  The firm are an international partnership, with a strategy for expansion, and are renowned for their work in insurance, health and real estate.  The firms’ culture is built on collective purpose and they place great importance on trust, integrity and accountability.

Reporting into the Managing Partner and as a member of the Executive, this role will be responsible for leading a significant change programme for the business.  The programme is focused on the modernisation of the business services functions globally, a community of c450 employees, to ensure they are aligned to the business needs and can support the future strategic growth ambitions of the firm.  The role is seen as crucial to the achievement of this programme and will be instrumental in delivering it.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join the firm at this early stage of the transformation and make a real difference.

The COO will manage the day-to-day operations of the firm and will have management responsibility for all the Business Services Directors, except for the Chief Financial Officer and the General Counsel. This senior role involves interaction and influence at all levels across the firm, carrying significant authority. The COO will provide dynamic leadership to the Directors; leading, supporting and inspiring them to ensure that they (and their teams) can deliver high quality and efficient support to the business, whilst holding them to account in playing their part on delivery and achievement of budget.  The COO will lead on the implementation of best practice, operational excellence, promoting and managing the change agenda.

This role will suit a seasoned COO who has a track record of delivering large-scale change in complex, international professional services organisations.  A good understanding of technology is essential.  The role is location agnostic, although as most of the team are based across London and Bristol, significant time will need to be spent in these locations.

Totum has been retained exclusively on this project and any direct of third-party applications will be forwarded to them.
