Mills & Reeve is appointing a Chief Marketing Officer to play a central role in delivering its ambitious 2030 vision and continued growth. Reporting to the Managing Partner and sitting on the Operational Leadership Team, the CMO will provide strategic leadership across business development, marketing, and communications, leading a team across the firm’s UK offices.

An ambitious top 40 UK law firm, Mills & Reeve has more than 180 partners across seven UK offices, with clients including global and UK based businesses, FTSE 250 and AIM listed organisations, high net worth individuals and landowners, education bodies, and healthcare organisations. Continued strong financial performance and growth in recent years has seen their turnover rise to £181million in the last financial year.

The CMO is a pivotal leadership role, accountable for driving results in an ambitious and fast-growing firm. Alongside leading a high-performing team, the role will focus on strengthening sector and market positioning, enhancing international profile, driving client centricity, and leading the adoption of data, digital and AI‑enabled tools, including the implementation of new technology platforms.

It is expected that candidates will bring senior‑level leadership experience, strong commercial awareness, a track record of shaping strategy, driving growth, and delivering meaningful change within professional services.

All offices will be considered as a base for this hire. Accessing Birmingham, London and Cambridge on a regular basis will be an important factor to consider.
