Excellent opportunity for an established BD Manager looking to step into a pivotal role with a global focus

 

We are delighted to be working with a leading global law firm with a reputation for excellence, who are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join their team in London, focussing on the dynamic Energy & Infrastructure sector.

 

This firm is forward thinking, hugely successful and collaborative, with a culture that is supportive and inclusive. The Energy and Infrastructure sector is a key focus for the future of the business and the successful candidate will be joining a high performing team of fee earners who are extremely engaged and value the contribution of the BD & Marketing team.

 

This BD Manager role is global in nature and will require the successful candidate to work strategically and operationally. The remit of the BD Manager role is broad and varied and will include:

 

  • Working in close collaboration with sector specialists and global senior stakeholders to develop the strategy and go to market plan for the sector.
  • Driving initiatives around cross-selling, knowledge sharing, opportunity spotting.
  • Supporting client targeting and pitch projects for the sector.
  • Collaborating with the BDM teams in other practices to support the growth of energy and infrastructure clients.
  • Mentor and manage a team of two advisors.
  • Support client targeting initiatives and profile-raising activities, including social media and PR management.
  • Developing a key client programme for priority clients. Take ownership of relationship management activities for a small number of strategically important clients.

 

The successful candidate for this BD Manager role will need:

 

  • Strong BD experience gained in a legal or wider professional services environment, with experience of line management.
  • Experience or a strong interest in the energy and infrastructure market.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Results-driven mindset with a hands-on approach to delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships.
  • A global mindset.
  • First class communication skills.
