About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be central to pipeline growth and lead conversion across the region. You'll collaborate with partners and senior stakeholders to drive commercial success across sectors, including owner-managed businesses, scale-ups, corporates, and high-net-worth individuals.
You’ll work closely with marketing and central bid teams to create high-impact campaigns, winning proposals, and engaging client experiences that reflect the firm’s unique value proposition.
Responsibilities Include:

Generating new business leads through research, referrals, events, and alliances

Developing and converting a robust regional sales pipeline

Collaborating with partners on client targeting and pursuit strategies

Coordinating with strategic alliance partners and sector leads

Managing inbound leads from digital, event, and referral channels

Overseeing proposal development with central bid and marketing support

Delivering and evaluating marketing initiatives aligned with business goals

Owning event planning and execution from concept to follow-up

Leveraging CRM and sales data to inform strategic decisions and KPIs
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience in a professional services, accountancy, or consulting environment

Proven success in a client-facing business development or sales role
-
Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and relationship management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders

Strong organisational and project management capabilities

Commercial awareness and the ability to spot market opportunities

Confident using CRM systems and marketing/sales analytics
-
Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams
Desirable:

Experience using Seismic or similar proposal tools

Familiarity with Midlands-based business networks and communities

Exposure to managing multi-sector events or campaigns
