We are delighted to be working with this well-respected law firm, who is looking to recruit a BD Manager to focus on their Criminal law practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a high performing Senior BD Executive who is looking to step into a first time Manager role, and you’ll be offered all the support you need to make this a successful transition, with lots of scope for long term development and progression.

This BD Manager role will be working closely with senior stakeholders and fee earners in the firms award winning Criminal law practice group. The remit of the role will be broad and will encompass the strategic planning and tactical delivery of all aspects of the BD & marketing mix, including supporting with client development and client targeting initiatives, key client relationship management, supporting on pitches, awards and submissions, opportunity spotting, developing marketing collateral, campaign management, event coordination and internal and external communications.


The successful candidate will need:


  • Previous experience of working in a BD and/or marketing capacity within a law firm environment. Experience of the Criminal law sector would be beneficial, but other practice group experience will be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
  • High levels of commercial acumen.
  • A proactive approach.
