We are delighted to be working with a fantastic people consultancy who are looking to recruit a talented, self-motivated Business Development Manager to join their existing commercial team, focusing on working with SME clients in London and the South East region, across the firms specialist service lines.

The remit of this Business Development role will include:
- Collaborating with the Commercial Director to craft and execute a targeted sales strategy for the region.
- Meet and exceed sales targets outlined in the strategy, focusing on lead generation and conversion.
- Identify and pursue opportunities in strategic areas across the specialist divisions.
- Leverage your network to explore synergies with the wider group’s services.
- Tailor pitches and proposals to address the specific needs of prospective clients.
- Utilise the firms market presence to foster relationships and uncover new prospects.
- Establish a network of commercial partnerships and engage with the business community.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with technical team members to deliver winning solutions.
- Stay abreast of market trends and refine value propositions accordingly.
The successful candidate for this Business Development role will include:
- Minimum of five years' experience in business development and sales, gained within a consultancy environment, with strong experience of selling professional services.
- An understanding of the HR and/or H&S sector.
- Proven track record of driving profitability and geographic/client expansion.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with procurement and tender processes.
- Passionate about closing sales and exceeding targets.
