This leading top tier law firm is an ever impressive name in the legal landscape. Their marketing and BD team play a pivotal role in the firm achieving heir business objectives and support their ‘best in class’ partners and associates in their client first mentality, harboring long lasting client relationships and winning new business.

 

This BD Manager position is aligned to the market leading Employment and benefits group providing day to day business development support to the group of 8 Partners plus associates, profile raising, managing and leading on opportunities and proposals, liaising with the wider marketing and events teams, supporting the creation of publications and campaigns and coordinating key client activity and development.

 

The role spans both the corporate and litigation teams, creating an interesting mix of services / practice areas to go to market with. There is a supportive team in place, reporting to the Head of with another Manager, Senior Manager and Assistant.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Business Planning
  • Leading proposals and pitch presentations, coaching partners on their presentation, seeking feedback post pitch
  • Client targeting and pipeline management
  • Client feedback, relationships development and listening
  • Market intelligence and research
  • Client events and hospitality
  • Internal and external communications
  • Campaign management

 

We are ideally looking for an individual with some litigation, corporate and / or employment experience although this is not a necessity. The right person will have considerable written skill as there will be quite a bit of work around the creation of thought leadership as well as the broader BD remit.
