My client, an international law firm headquartered in London is looking for a BD Manager to join their Clients and Markets team in London.
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will report into the Head of Business Development, working closely together to drive the firm's strategy to create sustainable value for the business. This role will be client and market-facing, developing networks and creating opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
  • Work with the Head of Business Development in the development and implementation of the key client programme, embedding a culture of sales and identifying opportunities in sectors, markets and products.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to drive business development through cross sector campaigns, as well as identifying opportunities in sectors, markets and products.
  • In conjunction with Partners, you will be responsible for developing your own network and focussing on building new and existing relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Work with the Bids team and Sector teams to identify and track sales pipeline.
  • Providing sales coaching and support to partners to embed best practice client management.
  • Develop own network, and create market-facing opportunities
  • Work with the Marketing team to support campaign driven activity, promotion of new products, and ensure alignment with client need
  • Deliver sales workshops and coach senior stakeholders
  • Work with the international team, managing, growing and developing global clients across different jurisdictions.
Key experience and attributes:
  • Experience of working within professional services sector or selling legal services
  • Experience in developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Experience driving strong international growth and client management, cross selling opportunities across different jurisdictions
  • Market facing and client development experience is essential
  • Strong writing skills and ability to adapt style to different audiences and channels
  • A self-starter, proactive and highly motivated
  • Strong networking skills
  • Confidence and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
