My client, an international law firm, is seeking a dynamic and driven Alumni Manager to join their London team. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract position covering a maternity leave, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.
As the Alumni Manager, you will play a key role within the Business Development, Marketing, and Communications team. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the firm’s alumni engagement programme and collaborate with various teams to cultivate relationships with former colleagues, leveraging these connections to secure business opportunities.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an innovative engagement strategy to foster a strong network of brand ambassadors and advocates among the firm’s alumni community
  • Strengthen connections and engagement across all internal teams, promoting active involvement in the alumni programme
  • Identify and promote opportunities through the firm’s alumni network to support their ambitious revenue and growth targets
  • Collaborate closely with partner co-sponsors and represent the alumni programme on internal committees
  • Proactively identify and cultivate key alumni contacts, nurturing valuable relationships
  • Take an active role in content development, including newsletters, emails, social media, video, and web, liaising with third-party suppliers when necessary
  • Develop and organise major alumni events, from building mailing lists to collaborating with design teams on collateral creation
  • Promote alumni activities across the firm and to key internal stakeholders, while coordinating logistics and securing engaging speakers
  • Work closely with practice groups to develop and deliver smaller-scale events targeting specific alumni segments
  • Manage the alumni website, ensuring compliance with legislation, overseeing its visual identity, and enhancing user experience
  • Regularly evaluate program outputs against targets, preparing reports and presentations for key stakeholders
 
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in alumni relations, programme management, or related fields
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful engagement strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with alumni and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of revenue generation opportunities through alumni networks
  • Proficiency in content creation for various platforms, including newsletters, social media, and websites
  • Event management experience, from planning to execution, with a keen attention to detail
