Totum Partners is collaborating with a leading law firm to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager, overseeing a small team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable function and oversee team workload
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls and firm policies
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Engage with wider business for process enhancements and stakeholder feedback
  • Maintain high service levels and work quality
  • Supervise a team of 3 Accounts Payable assistants
  • Provide timely performance feedback, identify training needs, and support team
  • Allocate and monitor team tasks for timely completion
  • Monitor settlement of all accounts payable transactions
  • Resolve supplier and internal stakeholder queries promptly
  • Accurately input and post accounts payable transactions, including suppliers and Counsel fees
  • Process staff expenses through Concur

 

Requirements:

  •  Experience managing AP teams with at least three account payable assistants, preferably in a senior legal capacity
  •  Familiarity with Aderant or Elite (advantageous but not essential)
  •  Excellent organisation and time management skills
  •  Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  •  Stakeholder-focused with solid communication skills
  •  Proficiency in Excel
