Totum Partners is collaborating with a leading law firm to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager, overseeing a small team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable function and oversee team workload
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and firm policies
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Engage with wider business for process enhancements and stakeholder feedback
- Maintain high service levels and work quality
- Supervise a team of 3 Accounts Payable assistants
- Provide timely performance feedback, identify training needs, and support team
- Allocate and monitor team tasks for timely completion
- Monitor settlement of all accounts payable transactions
- Resolve supplier and internal stakeholder queries promptly
- Accurately input and post accounts payable transactions, including suppliers and Counsel fees
- Process staff expenses through Concur
Requirements:
- Experience managing AP teams with at least three account payable assistants, preferably in a senior legal capacity
- Familiarity with Aderant or Elite (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Stakeholder-focused with solid communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel
